Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  If you had unprotected sex while on her period, chances are she might not be pregnant.  A woman usually ovulates around day 11-21 of a cycle. It's important to use protection such as a condom or birth control to avoid an unwanted pregnancy.  Definitely, one of the side effects of any emergency pill is changes on your next period. It could be heavier or lighter, longer or shorter.  Stress can also be a cause to delay her perioid.  Sometimes we're so stressed out that our body decreases the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which causes us to not ovulate or menstruate. If she doesn't get a period, she should consider taking a home pregnancy test or seeing a doctor.
