Are you on any form of birth control? Some pills, for example, cause your periods to be shorter and lighter and this is normal. If you are not, a three day period is still a normal period even if it is shorter than what you are used to. Dysmenorrhea during periods can cause headache, nausea, vomiting, and excessive cramping due to the excessive production of prostaglandins. If you are concerned about your symptoms, please schedule an appointment with your doctor to determine whether or not Dysmenorrhea is the cause of your symptoms.
