Thank you for your question. I am assuming you already went to the doctor to be diagnosed with a bacterial infection. I am not sure what diagnosis they gave you but if they called it "bacterial" you should have recieved an antibiotic to cure the infection. It may be a bacterial vaginosis which is also accompanied by the smell of "fish". This is not always sexually transmitted. The PH levels in women are so touchy that throughout your life, you will experience issues from time to time such as yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis. Soaps, sex, clothing, foods etc can all be associated with infections of the vaginal area. If you are concerned, you should always follow up with your treating physician.
