What you explained is pretty common. Menstrual cycles are never the same as the last, they can be delayed a day and then come back....they can disappear for a month for no apparent reason only to come back the next month. I am not sure how old your girlfriend is although if she is in her teens or 20s....all of what you explained is extremely common. Usually, the irregularity man only last for a month or two then return to normal....only to be abnormal again one day. I hope this helps settle your nerves that something is wrong. If she experiences any pain (other than regular cramping), then she needs to seek a physicians assistance.
