Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Type of treatment depends on severity of attack or flare-up. The usual medications applied are corticosteroid creamsYou should also avoid irritants like harsh soaps and detergents, certain metals like nickel, oral contraceptives and smoking which produce chemicals that are likely to trigger attacks.

Try to avoid places that are too hot or too cold. Airing your fee to dry and keeping  them always clean or wearing socks to keep them warm when the weather is cold is a good idea.

Do not walk on your bare feet even when you are inside the house. The dust, animal danger and other substances can easily irritate your soles and trigger an outbreak.

Foot eczema often last a long time. You can, however, limit the frequency of outbreaks. If your symptoms continue getting worst, it will be important to see a dermatologist.

Best,

Daisy
