Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks your question.  Sorry to hear how you feel on this recurring condition. If a main coronary arteries is blocked, a large part of the heart muscle is affected. If a smaller branch artery is blocked, a smaller amount of heart muscle is affected. After an MI, if part of the heart muscle has died, it is replaced by scar tissue over the next few weeks. Many type of treatments and new studies are being made in order to treat MI. It's important to discuss with your physician or specialist on which treatment would be best for you.  Sometimes, it might be best to get a second opinion.  Specially from a specialist, if you feel concerned. I hope this information was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
