Welcome to EmpowHER. Sorry to hear how your sister is feeling. Hopefully here you will find answers from other member with this same condition. It also depends how long she's been taking her antidepressant. In most cases it can take up to 4-6 weeks to start feeling the effect of the antidepressant. The full effect can take a little longer for the body to adjust to it and build up the serotonin needed. If she feels this medication is not working for her, she should let her doctor know. There are many other antidepressants with less side effects that might be better for her. Please keep us posted on your sister health.
