Pregnancy tests detect whether your blood or urine has a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) which is produced after a fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus. This usually happens about six days after after fertilization. Based on the dates in your post, you may want to take another test on day seven or later to see if you get negative results again.
