Hi Bahara and welcome to EmpowHER -

It must be frustrating to have been dealing with this for four years. What you are describing may be what's known as Menorrhagia or abnormally heavy or prolonged menstrual periods. The New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) says menorrhagia is the most common type of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Please see this article, written for the EmpowHER community,"Are your Periods Abnormally Heavy? There are Treatments to Help" which discusses menorrhagia in depth as well as treatments.

If you are not getting the support you need from the doctors you've been seeing you may want to find a gynecologist associated with an academic medical center.

We hope this information will be helpful to you. Please keep us posted on what you decide to do and what support you receive.

Best,

Pam
