Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! As a woman, your most fertile days are typically days 10-16 of your menstrual cycle. That is the time where you have higher risk of becoming pregnant.

Since you are on the pill and usually are consistent with taking it at the same time every day, that helps lower your risk of pregnancy. The morning after pill also has a high rate of effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. However, it's important to remember that the morning after pill should not be used as regular birth control and should only be taken in case of emergency. If taken regularly, the morning after pill can mess up your menstrual cycle and make it very irregular.

Take your regular pill whenever you can again. If you've been taking the pill for over 3 months it should be more synced up with your body and menstrual cycle and be more effective in preventing pregnancy. However, if you haven't been on the pill very long and had unprotected sex, then the morning after pill may be a good idea.

I hope this has helped! Please keep me updated and let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,
Erin
