Irregular periods with timing that's off and a changes in the flow are pretty common in younger women. If you start seeing a lot more clots than normal, or clots that are larger than a quarter, you should see a medical professional.
Clots can be caused by a miscarriage, a fibroid and/or hormonal changes. If you do not have a gynecologist then you may want to seek care at an organization like Planned Parenthood which will provide low-cost, confidential health services. Hope that helps!
