It sounds to me that you got your period even though it was very light. If you indeed got your period, then odds are you didn't get pregnant this time around. If you would have had brownish spotting then that would be a sign of implantation bleeding, but it still sounds to me like you got your period.
A pregnancy test can be taken 10-14 days after unprotected sex and when taken correctly, will certainly be accurate by the time your period is due.
Mystique80, when is your next period due? You can take a pregnancy test 5 days before a missed period to know for sure.
The highest chance of pregnancy is during the second and third weeks of the menstrual cycle. While a normal cycle is considered anywhere between 21 and 35 days, the average is about 28 days. Ovulation (the time when a woman is fertile) occurs mid month, this averages to day 14 every month give or take several days before and after. If a woman has unprotected sex around this time, she may get pregnant. A woman who has unprotected sex has about a 20% chance of pregnancy every month.
