Guide

Hi Lauren,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! Considering that I live in a dry climate, I am always battling dry skin-not to mention it gets even drier when the winter rolls around!

It is hard to avoid dry skin as temperatures drop, but the good news is that there are ways to fight off the effects of winter. When the season change, the humidity in the air dissipates and in turn our skin doesn't get as much moisture. The other reason for dry, cracked skin in winter is that the cold forces us to crank up our furnaces and the hot air is very drying to the skin.

Check out this article from the EmpowHER community for 9 great tips to save your skin in winter.

Hope you try out these tips Lauren- let us know what works for you!

Best,

Kristin
