Hi Mommielove and thanks for bringing your question to EmpowhER.
As you know, birth control pills work by stopping ovulation. When you stop taking them, the hormones from the pills leave your body quickly, and then your body starts to function on its own again.
Every woman is a unique individual, and some may take only a couple of weeks to start ovulation while others may take several months. Generally speaking it takes two to three months after stopping the pill to ovulate normally unless you had ovulation issues prior to starting the pill.
On average, it takes most couples about four to five months to get pregnant, and a large percentage take up to one year. Good luck, we hope all goes well for you!
