The pain that you are experiencing under your armpit is not likely to be related to your lymph removal because it has already been 14 months since you had them removed. Armpit pain that comes and goes, not chronic, is usually associated with referred pain from somewhere else in the body. One of the most common is as brachial plexus injury. Basically this means that a pinched nerve in your neck and/or shoulder is sending referred pain the your armpit. Other symptoms of a brachial plexus injury is numbness, tingling in the arm, and sometimes reduced motor control in the arm muscles. Watch out for these other symptoms.
Another common cause for armpit pain is reduced blood flow through the heart, or angina. If this is the cause you may also experience chest pain or tightness in the chest.
