Dear yayajls,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community. Emergency contraception is just that...for emergencies only! The morning after pill is VERY high in hormones and has very strong side effects. You should only use it in a true emergency! An emergency is like having full intercourse without protection and your partner ejaculates inside of you.

Since you aren't having sex, you can't get pregnant (even if you have semen on your hands) so you shouldn't use these kinds of medication again.

Next Choice One Dose will make you have a period way early (sometimes, it delays the period)-So what you are experiencing is normal. Your period could be irregular for 2-3 cycles after taking it.

yayajls, I urge you to talk to your doctor about sex, the risks and information if you are going to be experimenting sexually. There are a lot of risks and you should be making informed decisions to save yourself from worrying about things.

Did this help?

Best,

Kristin
