Guide

Hello SabbiCole17,

Thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'd love to give you some helpful advice on the subject.

During your adolescent years it is not uncommon to miss your period for several months at a time.  This is because your body is still finding the hormonal balance to support having a menstrual cycle.  It is usually not reason for alarm, however if you want to have a regular cycle doctors usually suggest you start taking birth control pills.  The pills will give you the hormones you need in the right amount and timing to give you a regular period each month.

Having a regular period would only be important if you are trying to get pregnant or you have unpleasant symptoms related to your menstrual cycle.  Since I am sensing that neither of these things are a concern for you then I would say enjoy it while you can.

You will most likely get a regular period once your body has come to a hormonal balance again.  If however you do not have a period for years, then you should talk to your doctor.  Until them, you have no need to worry.

Let us know if you have any more questions.
