Because you are having an irregular period after having unprotected intercourse, then your chances of being pregnant are pretty high. I suggest that you wait another week and then take a pregnancy test. If you did conceive from having intercourse on new years, that should be plenty of time for the test to detect whether or not you are pregnant.
