When you have a tubal ligation the tubes are damaged. When they heal themselves the tissue creates a blockage to your uterus. This prevents the pregnancy. However, it sometimes happens that the tubes do not seal all the way and a small opening can still allow sperm to travel to the uterus. If this happens you can become pregnant.
There is no way of knowing for certain unless you take a pregnancy test which I suggest you take after a missed your irregular period.
