Only your doctor can tell you what tests you need to take before taking antibiotics. The testing will most likely be a blood test. The SIBO test also tests for bacterial over-growth in the gut and that is a breath test.
Your doctor has probably already ordered tests for you. You will need to ask him to find out what kind of tests you need.
