Because you have not had intercourse there is NO chance you may be pregnant. During your adolescent years it is normal to experience irregular periods because your body is still trying to reach a hormonal balance. Having PMS symptoms even during a missed period is also normal and no cause for alarm.
Taking birth control pills is a really good way to maintain a regular period, reduce PMS, and prevent pregnancy. If you wish for any or all of these things, then taking an oral contraceptive is your best option.
