It is not unusual to have cramping throughout your entire period (7 days). However, if the cramping continues for longer than 7 days there could be something else going on. I suggest that you take a pregnancy.
If you are not pregnant and the negative symptoms persist even after your period ends, you should see a doctor. There could be something more serious going on than hormonal imbalances.
For now, you can take pain medications for the cramps if you wish.
