If you have had unprotected sex since your last period then it could be due to pregnancy. Or, the pain could be due to your muscles contracting to try and expel the uterus lining.
If you think it could be pregnancy, take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative and the pain increases over time with still no period; then you should definitely see your doctor right away to have a pelvic exam and/or pap smear.
