You may want to go have an ultrasound to see what is going on. If you are not pregnant, you could have Celiac Disease. This is an immune reaction to eating gluten (the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and other foods as well.) It can develop later in life. Swelling of the abdomen is one of the symptoms of Celiac Disease and/or a wheat allergy. I highly suggest you also be tested for Celiac Disease and food allergies in general.
