Unfortunately, there is no formula for knowing how these hormones will effect your body in particular. You are correct that the general rule is that it can take time for your body to adjust after you stop taking them. And yes, perhaps having had the shot before may add to that. However, you only took the shot a few times. Fertility issues do not always occur after taking the shot and if infertility does occur, it is usually because the individual was taking to shot for a very extended amount of time.
