Guide

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer
Suddenly missing a period, coupled with multiple PMS symptoms can be caused by something as simple as hormonal imbalances, or something more serious such an ovarian cyst.
Since its not easy to diagnose by simply looking at the symptoms I suggest that you see a gynecologist. Red flag to look for is a doctor who immediately prescribes taking birth control pills without an examination. This is very common because it is the fastest and cheapest treatment for irregular periods. However, if your irregular period is caused by something more serious than hormonal imbalanced, like anemia, it would be missed without a complete examination. So three things I suggest you have is a pap smear, be tested for anemia and ovarian cysts.
Gynecologists will usually not do any of these unless you ask for them, so I highly suggest you do if you decided to see a doctor.
