Guide

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
I'd love the give you some advice on the matter. There are several things to consider when experiencing dizziness or black outs.
First of all, you are properly hydrated? If you feel thirsty or your urine is yellow that is an indicator that you have already been dehydrated for a while. I highly suggest you drink coconut water to replenish your electrolytes which are essential to hydration.
Secondly, are you eating enough calories? At 14 years old, your body burns calories fast because it is still developing. Not eating enough calories will cause dizziness and black outs.
If you are staying hydrated and eating enough calories then its time to look deeper. Often during adolescent years girls can become anemic. It is pretty common, especially if you have heavier periods. Anemia can cause dizziness and fainting but can be easily treated by taking iron pills.
Even if you are not tested for anemia it is still a good idea to take the pills, especially if you do not eat a lot of red meat.
Other conditions that can cause black outs are medications, asthma, or allergies (to food, animals, plants etc).
Let us know if you have any more questions.
