Ovulation occurs about 12-16 days after the first day of your cycle which is about a week after your period starts. With that said, the sperm would need to survive somehow until you ovulated in order to fertilized the egg. This rarely happens because the sperm only survives about 12 hours in the vaginal canal. In can only live longer in the perfect cervical cervical fluid conditions. In that case, it can survive up to 7 days. This would put it around the time of ovulation.
But as you can see the odds of the "perfect" conditions happening, it very slim.
You can always take Plan B if you wish.
