Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
It is more difficult for women over 35 to become pregnant for several different reasons. Reasons can include: poor condition of the uterine lining or chromosomal issues in the eggs. Also babies conceived by women after the age of 35 have a high risk of being born with down syndrome.
If the clinic found a specific reason in the tests you will need to get the information from them yourself.
Having frequent periods can also indicate several reproductive issues and you need to see a gynecologist as soon as possible. It can indicate issues including:
-ovarian fybroids, cysts, or polyps,
-thyroid problems
-side effects to medication
-sexually transmitted infection
There are other possible reasons which are listed in this HerArticle. Read it by clicking the link below:

Receiving a pap smear/pelvic exam can reveal the possible cause.
Many doctors recommend taking birth control pills in order to regulate the hormones and give you a regular period. Many women who wish to get pregnant use this method to regulate their period to increase their ability to conceive after they stop taking the pill.

With all that said, your first step is to see a gynecologist and discuss all these things.
