If you didn't engage in sex you are not pregnant. I know with your period being delayed, that is a normal concern. The antibiotic you've been taking for your tonsilitus is more likely the culprit.
Antibiotics can definitely affect your menstraul cycle. Antibiotics are metabolized in the liver, the same place estrogen is which can change the speed of how estrogen is metabolized and reduce the amount of estrogen in the blood stream. This can cause a delay because we need a certain amount of estrogen to stimulate the ovaries for ovulation.
