Hello and welcome to EmpowHER,
Birth control pills prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation. If there is no egg to fertilize, pregnancy cannot occur. So, when you're on the pill, you are fully protected and you should not use emergency contraception at the same time. When you take them at the same time, it can cause moderate to severe symptoms because of the hormonal imbalances it causes.
Since you were taking birth control pills consistently when you have intercourse, you cannot become pregnant.
Keep in mind that although missing a pill can reduce their effectiveness, it usually takes 1-2 weeks of being off the pill to ovulate.
You do not need to do anything, simply keep taking the pills as usual.
