I was blessed enough to be able to successfully lease and move into my very own apartment, all with my own income and credit history. The day that my 15 year old daughter and I moved our meager belongings into our own home was an awakening for me. I realized that despite what everyone expected (that I would tuck tail and run, and be forced to run home to be supported by my parents.
