Guide

Hello dear and welcome to EmpowHer,
When growth occurs naturally, it usually stops naturally around your age is well. If you have tall parents or relatives, the height may simply run in your family.
However, there is a condition called Gigantism which is usually caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland. Other slightly less common caused include:
---McCune-Albright syndrome: abnormal growth in bone tissue, patches of light-brown skin, and gland abnormalities.
---Carney complex: an inherited condition that causes non-cancerous tumors on connective tissue, cancerous or non-cancerous endocrine tumors, and spots of darker skin.
---Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is an inherited disorder that causes tumors in the pituitary gland, pancreas, or parathyroid glands.
---Neurofibromatosis is an inherited disorder that causes tumors in the nervous system.

In the case that your growth is caused by one of these conditions, treatment is an option. To find out whether or not your growth is caused by genes or these other treatable causes, you will need to see a doctor. I suggest that you have a list of these conditions with you discuss then with a doctor. Often times doctor will not like to test you for these different conditions if they believe its caused by genes. So if you wish for a deeper investigation do not be afraid to demand it!

I hope that helps dear.
Faith
