It is very common to bleed the first time or even the first few times a woman experiences penetration. It does not indicate a problem. It may be bleeding now and not before because there was more friction on the cervix, or you were not as lubricated.
In the future to decrease the chances of bleeding I suggest that you use a water-based hypoallergenic personal lubricant. You can get them at almost any drug store.
