Heavy bleeding during menstrual periods can cause anemia. Anemia causes symptoms such as: nausea, light headedness, dizziness, mood swings, depression. Since you are underweight, it is even more likely that you may get anemia.
I suggest that you be tested by a doctor. if you do have anemia, it can easily be remedied by eating more red meat and taking iron pills.
