CLA is cojugated linoleic acid . CLAs are unsaturated fat that not only protects the heart, it also seem to aid in weight loss and have other heath benefits. Non grass fed animals do produce CLAs but in a much smaller quantity - about five times less.
You don't have to eat actual meat at all to benefit, as dairy produces these CLAs of grass fed cows. And we should all be eating grass fed meat. I wouldn't try to quantify CLA's in food too much, just eat a diet of fresh foods with limited grass fed meats and dairy and that should suffice. Keeping your calories and fat content (and definitely your sugars) in check should suffice to lose weight if you are also exercising daily.
You can ask your doctor or even a pharmacist what sort of supplement would be good for you, based on your general diet.
