Please don't take a third. This is strong medicine and should never be used as a form of birth control, but for emergencies only.

The instructions state taking one tablet of Postinor 2 as soon as possible, and the second tablet within the next 12 hours.

Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. It is most effective if taken as soon as possible and must be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure.

You will know that you did not become pregnant once you have bleeding or your next period.
