It sounds as though you had a period, though it was perhaps not a typical one (for you). To ease your mind, you may want to take a home pregnancy test. It's the only way to know for sure. Were you feeling irritation before sex? Perhaps you were not wet enough before penetration. It may be that your period (bleeding) was not totally finished. I can't say for sure. I would call your doctor if it persists.
