As you know, Sickle cell disease is an inherited red blood cell disorder. People with sickle cell disease can have abnormally shaped red blood cells.
The best way to live as normal a life as possible is to stay on point with whatever care, guidance, and/or treatment you are receiving from your doctor. Read as much about it as you can on your own and see how others are managing. Many people benefit from support groups, sharing information that has helped them in living with the disease.
