The above advice was not very good, for the record. If you are still having symptoms and you have finished, something is not right. But you can not culture your urine again for 7 days after your last dose. Don’t let anyone tell you other wise. I am what you would call living proof. I have what my physicians now believe as a antibiotic resistant bladder BIOFILM of klebsiella pneumoniae. I had surgery 11 months ago and was infected with it. It is only a hospital or medical pathogen, so I’m assuming you had an exam, Foley catheter, surgery, etc.

So far there is no cure. I have completed 14 rounds of antibiotics, including one for 6 weeks to see if long term would work. I have met someone else with this who has had it for 4 years. Every month, another positive culture of klebsiella. She’s had her bladder directly blasted and irrigated over 40 times with no luck. I see an infectious disease as well as urologist.

Just curious if OP can see my comment, if you were ever able to irridicate it? And I wanted to share in case others read this.
This is a horrific diagnosis. The worst part is so few physicians now about it. They throw more meds at you or say something is wrong with your urinalysis system. Wrong.

Never had a uti in my life prior to that surgery.
