I'm not sure what you thought tampon insertion would do - it's not going to prevent a pregnancy by absorbing sperm (if that was your thinking).

If your boyfriend did not urinate after sex, and then reinserted his penis in you, there is some risk of residual sperm being deposited in you, which could result in pregnancy.
Your next period will let you know if you are not pregnant.
