Bacterial prostatitis causes prostate infections but shouldn't lead to other organs. They are more common in men over 50. This infection can be chronic or acute and is generally treated with antibiotics. As to his liver and stomach and shoulder pain- we cannot answer that. A blood panel should be done to see if he has any kind of STI as gonorrhea, chlamydia or HIV can be a cause. However, the most common cause is from a UTI. There can be other kinds of infections that cause it too. There are several kinds of bacterial prostatitis.
Obviously this is only a guide as to what may be going on.
