HERWriter Guide

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

The list of ingredients for all vaccines can be found here (cut and paste): https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/appendices/B/excipient-table-2.pdf

Side effects can vary - anxiety and acid reflux are not commonly seen but according to the CDC:

Common side effects from the flu shot include:

Soreness, redness, and/or swelling from the shot
Headache
Fever
Nausea
Muscle aches

Signs of a severe allergic reaction can include:

Difficulty breathing
Hoarseness or wheezing
Swelling around the eyes or lips
Hives
Paleness
Weakness
A fast heart beat or dizziness

Life threatening allergic reactions to the flu shot are rare. These signs would most likely happen within a few minutes to a few hours after the vaccine is given.

If you think your symptoms are directly from the vaccine, call your doctor.
Best,
Susan
