I can't tell you not to follow your doctor's treatment advice. No one over the internet should do that. Being patient seems reasonable for a bit longer. If nothing changes, then you can decide if changing doctors is the right move for you or perhaps seeing an ENT (ears, nose, throat) in addition. Inner ear problems can cause dizziness.
