For all intents and purposes, there is a risk of pregnancy when a woman has unprotected sexual intercourse with ejaculation that enters the vagina. Your period is late for other reasons. This can happen occasionally, stress, illness, a lifestyle change or a change in body chemistry can cause a delay, among other things.
