Indications of weakness leading to instability may include neck pain, altered movements, pain referred into the shoulder, muscle spasms, altered neck posture, tinnitus, pain with static or prolonged postures (sitting in one position too long). Past traumas or repetitive injuries from performing the same motions over and over can also cause neck weakness and/or instability.
