Hello Suzanne Dow
Thank you for writing!
Your message is a little difficult to read. Are you saying that you have always had back pain, along with your MS but it's now excruciating? MS can cause back pain due to a tendency towards poor posture and being less mobile.
But sciatica is also linked with MS and this pain can be excruciating.
Sciatica is a term used to describe the symptoms of leg pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness that travel down the low back via the sciatic nerve in the back of the leg. Sciatica (sometimes known as radiculopathy) is a description of symptoms, not a diagnosis. As well as MS, a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and spondylolisthesis can all cause sciatica. Please talk to your doctor about this.
