It sounds like you may have a groin strain. We cannot know. You need to be examined. A groin strain is an injury or tear to any of the adductor muscles of the thigh, which are the muscles on the inner side of the thigh. An acute groin strain is usually caused by sudden movements such as kicking, twisting to change direction while running, or jumping. Do you recall misstepping in some way? Try icing the area. See your doctor for a proper diagnosis.
