It is not uncommon to have residual discomfort after a stone has passed. This discomfort may be due to remaining inflammation or swelling in the ureter and kidney area and should resolve on its own. If the pain does not resolve or worsens, a follow up with your doctor is needed to be sure there is nothing else going on, unrelated to the stones. Also, to be sure another stone was not missed. This is likely not the case, however, while CT scans are highly accurate for detecting stones, there are a few scenarios where a stone can go undetected.
I hope you feel better soon. My husband passed a kidney stone years ago. It was extremely painful.
