A pinched nerve refers to a certain kind of damage to a nerve (or group of nerves). It’s caused when a disc, bone, or muscle places increased pressure on the nerve which can lead to - numbness, tingling, burning, and pins and needles sensations. Vitamin deficiency, diabetes, and kidney failure are among the medical causes of nerve damage that can also affect the feet. What caused the nerve damage to your foot?
There's not much you can do (in the moment) to stop the tingling. I experienced this myself some years ago. Yes, it can be annoying! Things you can try that may help - changing your position, walking around, stretching/massaging the foot.
